I did this design on my roommate with some of her favorite colors. I decided to do it as an accent nail instead because we were in a bit of a rush. 

She is also a chronic nail biter, so I'm constantly painting her nails in efforts to try to get her to stop. So far, nothing has worked. Suggestions?

(Yellow) Unnamed color I got from Rue 21
(Orange) Nina - Tangerine Dream
(Gold) Nina - Big Spender

Sharpie Dotted Gradient

 Got inspired to do this from a post I saw in r/Laqueristas. Unfortunately, I've since lost the exact post I got it from. Click here to watch a tutorial I made for this exact mani :)

LOVED the way this turned out. The gradient was super easy to create, especially since it was with an easy to control marker. Doing my dominant hand was a breeze.

My Valentine's Day Mani

This is the design I decided to go with for Valentine's Day. My boyfriend lives far away :( so I thought it would be nice to flaunt his name on my nails instead :)

Colors:
Purple: China Glaze - Secret Peri-wink-le
Red: Zoya - Elisa
Black: NYC - no name

Not going to lie, the cursive lettering was one of the more difficult things I've painted on my nails, but it was so worth it :) Even if you don't have a special someone to share this holiday with, this design is still perfect, sans the name in the heart.

Showing Some School Spirit!

My old high school's jazz band visited my university to perform at a jazz festival that was being held on campus. My boyfriend and many close friends are in jazz band, so I had to attend of course! I painted my nails in my high school's colors (blue and gold) in support of them :)

Colors:
Blue: Revlon - Indigo Night
Gold: Nina - Big Spender

Just a blue base coat with some simple taped gold lines. Nothing fancy, but it kind of reminds me of what the collars on the marching band uniforms looked like :)  Sadly, I didn't wait long enough for top coat and smeared some of the blue :(

Heart Stencil Mani

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I haven't gotten the chance to do a V-day mani on myself yet, but my friend asked me to do one on her, so I happily obliged. 

Colors:
Gold: Nina - Big Spender
Red: Zoya - Elisa

This was my first attempt at tape heart stencils. You can find a tutorial here. I kind of suck at cutting out heart shapes, so it isn't the best, but my friend loved it :)

Zoya's Kierra

Just got my Zoya's in the mail last week!  I decided to try out Kierra first along with some simple gold dots.

Base: Zoya - Kierra
Gold: Nina - Big Spender
Seche Vite top coat

I was very pleased to see that the color was very true to how it appeared in the bottle. The formula is extremely smooth and easy to apply. Me gusta mucho :)

Gator Chevrons

Chomp chomp ;)

My roommate is a University of Florida Gators fan, so I decided to paint some Gator colored chevrons on her nails.

Colors:
Blue: Revlon - Indigo Night
Orange: Nina - Tangerine Dream

This is a taped design. Took me quite a while to cut the pieces of tape to be the right size, but only because I'm a perfectionist. Otherwise, this was a very easy design. I didn't take the tape off soon enough, hence the scraggly edges on the chevrons. The orange polish was also hopelessly runny, so that's the deal with the orange-y mess on her ring finger. No time for cleanup tonight :/
